Thobejane: 'We're in ICU'

Colourful Baroka FC head coach Kgoloko Thobejane provided another classic post-match interview by claiming his side were in 'ICU' after a goalless draw to Orlando Pirates on Thursday.

The Buccaneers dominated possession against their opponents with Thobejane's side disastrously failing to get a shot on target in a DStv Premiership clash at Orlando Stadium.

Speaking after the final whistle, Thobejane struck a disheartened tone after a disappointing draw away from home.

Kaizer Chiefs' Keagan Dolly is one of the most valuable No. 10s in the league this season

"From the start, we were looking for three points as we were very desperate for the points," Thobejane said post-match.

"Today we were quite short in what we want as we wanted was a win and all three points.

"We're in ICU, and that place is not good, it's not good!

"We can't rest, but the game today showed me what I keep saying about these boys. They are ready to start collecting points.

"Today we've managed to get one point so let's just accept it. But most importantly we need three, three, three, three.

"So that we can breathe that oxygen again as now we are in no position as we're in darkness."

Thobejane also revealed what it would take to get the club out of their so-called ICU to better health.

"What will get us out of ICU is the players that I have and they are the ones who need to get us out of that ICU," Thobejane added.

"What I have is quality, that is the only thing myself and my technical team are striving for is to make and support the players."

Baroka next host strugglers Swallows FC in a DStv Premiership clash at the Peter Mokaba Stadium on Wednesday.

Kick-off is at 17:00.
