Dolly: It's easy to understand Billiat

Premiership

Kaizer Chiefs midfielder Keagan Dolly has explained why he has such a good understanding with Khama Billiat on the pitch.

Chiefs gave their chairman Kaizer Motaung the perfect birthday present as Dolly scored twice, while Khama Billiat and Lazarous Kambole also got on the scoresheet.

"First of all, credit to the entire team," Dolly told SuperSport TV.

"The boys have been fighting hard in the training sessions and the past few games. We created many chances and we couldn't convert those chances. I think I said in my last few interviews that once we start scoring, it's not going to stop. We showed that tonight.

"I'm happy we could win on our chairman's birthday so a big shout out to him. The most important thing is that the whole team played well tonight. We stuck to our gameplan and executed. We got the three points and that's all that mattered.

"In the past few games we've been creating chances, we've been working hard at training sessions and tonight we said let's just do it for ourselves. Let's execute and stick to our gameplan and that's what we did. If we keep going like this a lot of teams need to watch out for us."

Dolly and Billiat combined brilliantly throughout the match as Chiefs ended their winless run.

"It's always easy for me to understand where Khama is going to run and he knows what to do when I have the ball," said Dolly. "It's been a partnership since Ajax days so automatically I know where he's going to be.

"Overall, it's the entire team. We've been working hard off the field and we deserve it tonight. Hopefully there's much more to come.

"It's a confidence booster for me. A lot of people say I don't take my chances. With the penalty I scored against AmaZulu it gave me the confidence. Today I got a few chances and I took it and hopefully I can continue scoring and helping the team."
