Paez initially aimed at scoring 10 goals in 2017/18 but has since raised the bar to 15 strikes.
The Venezuelan, who has Italian ancestry, has three goals this campaign, having netted five times last term after joining Amakhosi in January 2016.
“I have revised this target,” Paez told the club's website. “I want to get another five before Christmas and I am now looking at scoring 15 for the season.”
Amakhosi next face unbeaten Baroka at Moses Mabhida Stadium on Saturday, with Paez wary of the joint-log leaders' attacking threat.
“They are a fast running side, scoring a lot of goals. It means that we have to be focused and be careful defensively. On the other hand, we must create chances and finish them.”
The hard-running forward is hoping for a full house on the weekend.
“In Durban, we usually get 30 000 to 50 000 people in the stadium. That vibe at Moses Mabhida is something special. If the stadium is full, players run harder and, as a striker, I want to score and make things happen.”
