Chiefs star linked with move abroad

The agent of Dumisani Zuma has shed light on reports linking the Kaizer Chiefs star with a move to Belgian Jupiler Pro League side Sint-Truiden.

Recent reports from Belgium have claimed that Sint-Truiden submitted a transfer offer of between €1 million (R19m) and €1.5m (R29m) to Amakhosi for Zuma's services.

The 25-year-old's representative, Basia Michaels, has since informed that she has not received any word that such a bid has been made to the current league leaders.

"The bid would be made directly to Kaizer Chiefs and Chiefs would then inform me if they accept it [but] nobody has touched base with me about anything," Michaels said.

An attempt was made to reach out to Chiefs regarding the reports but the club was unwilling to comment on speculation surrounding the former Bloemfontein Celtic star's future at this stage.

"Focus is on the last two games to go. No comment about player moves at this stage," Chiefs' media and corporate communications manager Vina Maphosa said when asked to comment on the rumours.

Zuma, who signed a four-year extension with Chiefs last year, was a notable absentee during the club's 1-0 Absa Premiership defeat to Bidvest Wits on Sunday as he continues to recover from a hamstring injury.
