Kaizer Chiefs have completed a double deal to sign Ashley Du Preez and Zitha Kwinka from Stellenbosch FC.

Stellenbosch FC have confirmed that the club has reached an agreement with Kaizer Chiefs over the sales of star players Ashley Du Preez and Zitha Kwinika, with the duo set to officially join the Amakhosi on 1 July 2022.

Kwinika, who was named Stellies' Player of the Season and Players' Player of the Season, was confirmed to be leaving earlier this month by club-coach Steve Barker and Kickoff.com understands that he has already arrived in Gauteng ahead of his return to his boyhood club.

Du Preez, meanwhile, completes his move to Naturena after six seasons with Stellenbosch and on the back of an impressive season in which he recorded nine goals and three assists during the 2021/22 campaign.

"It’s never an easy decision leaving a club like Stellenbosch, a town that’s given me so much, a community that’s given me so much," Du Preez said in a statement.

"I want to thank the management, the coaching staff, Garth Le Roux, Rob Benadie. I want to thank them for supporting me. I want to thank the community for supporting me through thick and thin."

Robyn Johannes, Waseem Isaacs, Stanley Dimgba, Nathan Sinkala, and Sibusiso Mthethwa have all been confirmed to be leaving Stellenbosch FC as well, while Marc van Heerden is also expected to depart the club.
