Chiefs reshuffle squad with further exits


Kaizer Chiefs on Monday confirmed the departure of four promising academy graduates on loan as the club looks to provide the players with regular first-team football.

Chiefs announced season-long loan deals for Keletso Sifama and Thabo Mokoena at Pretoria Callies in the GladAfrica Championship.

Sifama, still only 18-years-old, had already spent a previous loan spell at Maritzburg United during the second half of last season.

The attacking midfielder made his first-team debut at Chiefs last year. While Mokoena is a 21-year-old central defender.

Also heading out on loan is Lebohang Lesako and Darrel Matsheke to both Uthongathi in the GladAfrica Championship.

Lesako, a 22-year-old attacking midfielder tasted first-team football last season, managing six appearances across the DStv Premiership, MTN8 and CAF Champions League.

Matsheke, a 21-year-old defensive midfielder who made a dozen appearances last season, but with the arrival of new signings in that position, has been allowed to develop elsewhere.

In the meantime, the transfer-listed pair of Lazarous Kambole and Siphosakhe Ntiya-Ntiya remain at Naturena.
