The medical room seems to be progressing at Naturena, with news that George Maluleka has fully recovered from an ankle injury.
'Mido' has been sidelined for the past three weeks, missing Amakhosi's Absa Premiership clashes against Orlando Pirates and AmaZulu as well as the Nedbank Cup tie against Stellenbosch FC, through an ankle injury.
The 29-year-old has since been cleared by team physiotherapist David Milner, who expects him to be ready for their cup quarterfinal against Baroka next weekend.
“Mido has recovered and is fit again. He is fully participating in training sessions," Milner told the club's website.
"Of course, he’s not match fit as yet, but it’s still a way to go before our Nedbank Cup quarterfinal, which will only be played in about ten days, and he might be ready by then.”
Defender Tsepo Masilela and striker Emmanuel Letlotlo are also making good strides in their return to action from ankle and knee surgery respectively.
“They both played in a practice match last weekend, and they came out of it without any pain. We are happy with their progress,” the physio added.
Meanwhile, new signing Kabelo Mahlasela, who suffered a knee injury in his first training session following his arrival from Bleomfontein Celtic in January, is "getting stronger and stronger each day" according to Milner.
Chiefs will renew their rivalry with Bakgaga at the FNB Stadium on Saturday, March 31, with kick-off scheduled for 20h15.
