Chiefs new man demands more games

Kaizer Chiefs’ off-season signing Austin Thabani Dube says he feels encouraged by the start that he has had to his time at Naturena as he works his way towards establishing himself at the club.

Dube came in from GladAfrica Championship club Richards Bay to reinforce the defence and has looked the part in the last two games that he has started.

"I’m not yet there, I’m still going to get there. I still need more games to get where I want to be and where I used to be actually. So, up to now, I think I have done well but then I need to improve obviously," says Dube who ix expected to continue partnering Mulomowandau Mathoho.

"It has been a great experience working alongside with Tower. With the experience that he has he helps me a lot. All the centrebacks, the back four and all defenders, I learn a lot every day, so I think it has been great partnership," he notes.

Having featured in the 4-0 win over Chippa United over the weekend, Dube is expected to feature again when Chiefs visit SuperSport United.

He speaks with optimism about how they should go about their duties.

"If we stick to our plan, our tactics…I think we are going to do well there. We just have to be us and play our normal football. I have watched them play almost all their games this season. They have been doing well but I think if we can stick to our plan then anything is possible.

"Taking it from the previous game against Chippa we did very well. I think we can still improve and do much better so going to the weekend’s game in Pretoria, we are going for a win. We going to perform even better than the previous game obviously," he points out.
