Kaizer Chiefs legend Donald "Ace" Khuse has shared his thoughts on the comparisons made between retired Jabu "Pule" Mahlangu and current star Khama Billiat.
Last week Mahlangu triggered a big debate on Twitter after posting about Chiefs greats who have worn the jersey number 11, Teenage Dladla, Emmanuel ‘Scara’ Ngobese and himself. Billiat currently wears the number 11.
Khuse, speaking to KickOff.com at oPhongolo Mayoral Cup on Saturday, explained why the two cannot be compared.
"No, we can never compare the two. Jabu was good in his way, Khama got his way of playing. It’s the same comparing Jomo Sono and Ace Ntsoelengoe back in the days. Even now with Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo, two different players and have different styles of play, but both are good," Khuse says.
"It’s the same with Billiat and Jabu, there's no comparison. If I were to choose, I would have both of them in my team. I don't see the one being better than the other.
He continues: "Jabu was good in taking on players, scoring some important goals. On the other hand Billiat scores brilliant goals, creates chances. They've [both] got big hearts, it unfair to compare them"
