Chiefs' rotten discipline leads table

Kaizer Chiefs have not only been enduring poor results but are also the most ill-disciplined team in the Premier Soccer League this season.

According to statistics across all competitions in the 2020/21 season, Chiefs have had more sending-offs than any of their DStv Premiership rivals.

Amakhosi's results is what has everyone talking at the moment, but their discipline shows that they have had no less than five players receive red cards this season.

Bernard Parker, Darrel Matsheke, Philani Zulu, Siphosakhe Ntiya-Ntiya and Ramahlwe Mphahlele have all been sent for early showers in various matches so far.

The only team not far behind them in terms of discipline is Bloemfontein Celtic, who have seen four red cards this season, including two-time recipient Ronald Pfumbidzai.

Orlando Pirates, Stellenbosch and TS Galaxy are the most disciplined teams and are only three sides to have an unblemished record in as far as red cards are concerned.

However, no team in the league has picked up more yellow cards than Pirates (34), while Chippa United – despite three red cards thus far – have only collected 12 cautions.
