Kaizer Chiefs leading race for wantaway Letsoalo


Prolific striker Victor Letsoalo is eyeing a lucrative move to one of the DStv Premiership's big boys with his contract at Royal AM due to expire.

Time is running out for Royal AM to convince the 28-year-old to renew his contract with the former Bloemfontein Celtic striker free to sign a pre-contract agreement in January.

According to sources close to the player, Letsoalo has made his intentions clear to join one of the big three Gauteng teams of Kaizer Chiefs, Orlando Pirates or Mamelodi Sundowns next season.

"Victor Letsoalo's contract at Royal AM is due to expire in June next year," a source tells Kickoff.com.

"He has made his intentions clear that he wants to move to Gauteng next season.

"There have already been initial talks with one of the big teams in Gauteng.

"Those talks are set to continue in the coming weeks with a formal proposal."

It is understood that Kaizer Chiefs are currently leading the race to sign the in-demand Letsoalo who leads the scoring charts having already scored five goals in six matches played.

Fellow Soweto giants Orlando Pirates can also not be ruled out of making a move for the player in January.
