Kaizer Chiefs striker Lazarous Kambole has commented on his slow start in the Premier Soccer League but has vowed to deliver soon enough.
Kambole joined Chiefs under much fanfare at the start of the season from Zambian giants ZESCO United, after impressing both for club and country.
The 25-year-old has started all four of the club’s Absa Premiership encounters so far but has yet to find the back of the net to get the monkey off his back.
“The pressure is there, but pressure is part of our careers. So you just have to know how to handle the pressure,” Kambole told reporters at The Village on Wednesday.
“Of course, things aren’t going my way because I’ve not scored yet, but I know the goals are coming, and when they come, it’s going to be something else.”
The Chipolopolo star has also assured he is not shying away from the responsibility of the chances he’s missed thus far, insisting that he needs no more motivation than to see his chances go abegging.
“Misses are part of football, but that’s what makes me push even harder because you can’t run away from the fact that I’ve missed chances,” he added.
“But of course, chances will come again, and this time I hope I will convert them.”
