Chiefs suffer major Billiat blow

Premiership

Kaizer Chiefs have suffered a big blow after confirming bad news for forward Khama Billiat, with an update also issued on Leonardo Castro and Reeve Frosler.

Billiat is set to be sidelined for around two months after suffering a broken leg in their defeat to Maritzburg United over the weekend, Chiefs have confirmed.

The Zimbabwean international was substituted in the 48th minute during their 2-0 DStv Premiership loss at FNB Stadium on Saturday.

Meanwhile, Gavin Hunt will also have to make do without the services of Leonardo Castro, who has been ruled out with an abdominal strain.

Amakhosi may now have to turn to Samir Nurkovic to lead their attack when they take on AmaZulu at Kings Park Stadium on Wednesday afternoon.

On a positive note, the club also confirmed that defender Reeve Frosler has made steady progress in his recovery from a knee injury and has started fitness work on the pitch.
