A former Kaizer Chiefs forward has been called upon to provide the experience and penetration against mighty Senegal at the ongoing AFCON finals.
Zimbabwean star Knowledge Musona will be in the mix against The Lions of Teranga who are led by Sadio Mane and featuring Edouard Mendy, Kalidou Koulibaly, Keita Balde and Ismaila Sarr in a squad of Europe based players.
Musona – who will captain the Warriors – will take all of the burden on his shoulders following Khama Billiat’s decision to quit international football late last year.
The Chiefs forward chose to walk away from the national team following the disastrous World Cup qualifying campaign.

This then means Musona will call the shots with the hope of bringing his recent club form to the national team.
The 31-year-old scored three goals in his last two games for his Saudi Arabia Pro League club Al-Tai.
He banged a brace against Al-Faisaly Harmah before adding another against Al-Hazem with both games ending in wins for Al-Tai.
Musona has scored five goals in 12 appearances playing mostly as an attacking midfielder or in wide positions.
This afternoon Musona will lead a team that will have six players who are currently playing or have previously played in South Africa.
Three of them Teenage Hadebe, Onismor Bhasera and Musona played for AmaKhosi.
Hadebe has now moved on to Europe and then the Major League Soccer while Bhasera keeps going strong at SuperSport United.
Musona remains popular with Chiefs fans having scored 44 goals through the two spells that he had with the club.
