Chiefs are set to welcome the Urban Warriors to their home away from home at Moses Mabhida Stadium on Saturday (20h15) for their final fixture in 2017.
Maluleka is confident of finishing the year on a high, while he hopes to add to his tally of two goals so far this season, with both having come in Durban.
“Durban is usually a good hunting ground for us. Ajax won’t be an easy opponent but we are ready," Maluleka told his club's website.
"Supporters usually attend our home games in Durban in great numbers. If that happens again on Saturday, we will reward them – we want to make our fans happy.
“I love to play in Durban. I also scored both my goals there this season.”
Meanwhile, the 28-year-old, who played for Ajax from 2009 to 2012, has fond memories of his time at the club where he shone in midfield alongside Thulani Serero.
“I had a good time with them and I revived my career at Ajax under coach Foppe de Haan. That’s why the club will always be close to my heart," he added.
“I like to play a little bit more forward, as in my present position I have less opportunities to attack. However, it’s the coach’s decision. Besides that, I am enjoying this role as well.”
