Kaizer Chiefs have confirmed the departure of one of their strikers as they begin their revamping for next season.
Chiefs have today confirmed that they have parted ways with striker Ryan Moon, whose contract was set to come to an end next month.
The 22-year-old arrived in Naturena three seasons ago from Maritzburg United, and largely struggled to make his presence felt for Amakhosi.
His best return was under former coach Steve Komphela in the 2017/18 campaign, when he scored four goals in five consecutive matches between January and February.
However, his fortunes changed this season when he couldn't cement his place in Giovanni Solinas' side in the early stages of the campaign, but later managed more minutes under Ernst Middendorp.
Nonetheless, his failure to find the back of the net in 18 appearances this season left him unpopular amongst the club's supporters, and the club have since decided not to retain him.
