Kaizer Chiefs have announced their first new signing ahead of the 2018/19 season, confirming recent reports linking them to a striker.
Chiefs on Tuesday announced the arrival of Zambian international Lazarous Kambole from Zesco United.
The 25-year-old has penned a three-year deal that will tie him to the Glamour Boys until June 2022.
Kambole was part of the Zegalacticos side that eliminated Amakhosi from the CAF Confederation Cup, and was largely responsible for their 3-1 away defeat at the Levy Mwanawasa Stadium on January 13, with a goal and an assist.
He recently hinted at the interest from Chiefs, while also revealing attempts to snap him up by Orlando Pirates and AmaZulu, but it would appear they were not enticing enough.
Currently with Chipolopolo, whom he helped lift the COSAFA Cup in Durban last week, they next face Bafana Bafana's Group D opponents Morocco and Ivory Coast in pre-AFCON friendlies.
