Kaizer Chiefs have beaten Mamelodi Sundowns to the services of Swallows defender Njabulo Ngcobo, who is set to be announced within the next week.
KickOff.com has learnt that Ngcobo has put pen to paper on a three-year contract with Chiefs following successful negotiations between the two clubs.
The 27-year-old centre-back, together with Sfiso Hlanti and Kgaegelo Sekgota are set to report for training in Naturena on Thursday as they begin their next chapters.
"Ngcobo is done deal. He is now officially a Chiefs player. They will make the official announcement after 1 July," says the source.
Amakhosi made history over the weekend after beating Wydad Casablanca 1-0 on aggregate to qualify for their first ever CAF Champions League final, which is set for July 17 against Pitso Mosimane's Al Ahly.
According to another source, the club is also in discussions to hand veteran duo Willard Katsande and Bernard Parker contract extensions given their contribution to the team's historic continental campaign.
"There are discussions with Parker and Katsande. The club is open to them staying for another season and deals could be signed this week."
Chiefs are also reportedly looking to lure former Bidvest Wits midfielder Cole Alexander back to South Africa after spent the last season in India, where he was signed by coach Stuart Baxter.
