Kaizer Chiefs striker Bernard Parker is the joint-leader in their Carling Black Label Cup votes ahead of the competition’s return next month.
Parker tops the charts alongside Chiefs skipper Itumeleng Khune, who is expected to make a return from a lengthy injury lay-off at the start of next season.
While Orlando Pirates’ CBL cup votes were just under 100 000, Amakhosi supporters continue to show their love despite their team’s dismal showing last season, as they already surpassed the 120 000-mark as at June 10.
With Khune leading for the starting place in goal with nearly 20 000 votes, Bafana Bafana’s Bruce Bvuma comes in a distant second with just under 3500 votes.
Parker is currently the leading striker with over 19 000 votes, alongside Leonardo Castro, who is reportedly on his way out at Naturena, with close to 12 500 votes.
Star striker Khama Billiat has surprisingly received just under 4000 votes thus far, while Emmanuel Letlotlo is vying for a place in the team – already having passed the 6000-mark.
Siphelele Ntshangase is also a few hundred votes shy of breaking into the starting line-up with 2000 votes, as is Siphosakhe Ntiya-Ntiya with a similar number of votes.
