Chiefs' 8 different scorers in 20/21

Kaizer Chiefs have registered eight different goal scorers in 2020/21 thus far, with their leading scorer having netted three goals in all competitions.

Chiefs' start to the season leaves plenty to be desired as they occupy a paltry 10th position on the DStv Premiership log standing, thanks largely to their 1-0 win over AmaZulu in midweek.

Samir Nurkovic marked his return to the starting line-up with a goal, making him the club's eighth different player to find the back of the net this season.

Leading the Amakhosi charts is Leonardo Castro, who has netted twice in the Premiership and once in the CAF Champions League – that all-important goal against Primeiro de Agosto that led to their historic maiden group stage qualification.

Second on the list with two goals to his name is defender Yagan Sasman, who scored a brace in the MTN8 opening round victory over Maritzburg United.

Of their eight goals in the league thus far, one was an own-goal by Chippa United's Gregory Damons, while the rest were each scored by Khama Billiat, Nkosingiphile Ngcobo, Lebogang Manyama and Anthony Akumu.

The only other scorer on the list is Erick Mathoho, who grabbed the decisive goal in their 1-0 aggregate win over Cameroonian side PWD Bamenda in the opening round of the Champions League.

Chiefs' next test is in the DStv Premiership away to Cape Town City on Saturday at 17h00.
