SSU coach outlines Gabuza's role

SuperSport United coach Kaitano Tembo believes striker Thamsanqa Gabuza will deliver at Matsatsantsa this coming season.

Gabuza joined United a few weeks ago after enduring a tough season at Orlando Pirates without game-time.

'Ganda Ganda ' has started training with the squad and featured during a friendly game against Botswana side Township Rollers, forming a partnership with Bradley Grobler up front at Lucas Moripe Stadium on Sunday.

Tembo is confident Gabuza will fit into the team and believes once he regains his confidence he will deliver the goods in Tshwane.

"I know Gabuza is not yet fit because he joined us late. We are trying to build his fitness level because I know his qualities and I know how we are going to use him in the team," Tembo tells KickOff.com.

"Gabuza is your typical number nine. He is strong, his work ethic is good. He is someone we can play off because he can hold the ball, he is strong ,that's the role he is going to play and also put pressure on defenders.

"I can guarantee you he is going to fit in very well once he starts getting his confidence back because it has been tough for him the past season. We are going to try to build his confidence, that will help."
