Gabuza is going to help us - Tembo

SuperSport United coach Kaitano Tembo believes striker Thamsanqa Gabuza will be of great help to his team this season.

Gabuza made his debut during the league match against Mamelodi Sundowns at Lucas Moripe Stadium on Saturday.

Although he didn't score, Tembo was happy with Gabuza's contribution during the 2-0 Tshwane Derby defeat in Atteridgeville that saw Matsatsantsa lose the bragging rights.

"With Gabuza first game, I thought he did well and combined well with Bradey Grobler. They could play off each other very well and I think we piled on pressure, especially on the two centre-backs," said Tembo.

"We didn't want to give them too much time on the ball because when they start to build from the back they cause problems.

"Gabuza did well. He was also a good athlete for us, whenever we had problems we could go to him. He held the ball very well and got into good areas even though he got tired, that's why we took him out. But with time he is going to help us."

Gabuza is set to face his former team Orlando Pirates for the first time since leaving when they host the Buccaneers in their next league match at Mbombela Stadium on August 14.
