SuperSport United coach Kaitano Tembo has revealed his bigger dream for the club as they still harbour hopes of winning the Absa Premiership title.
Matsatsatsa are third on the log and Tembo would like to achieve one of his two dreams, which is a treble or qualifying to play in the CAF Champions League like Mamelodi Sundowns.
Tembo believes returning to CAF competitions can help the team, especially the players, to grow their profiles.
"Most definitely as a team we would want to go back there again. It is good for the players. It is good for the brand as well. We did well the last time we were there," Tembo said.
The last time Matsatsatsa played in Africa they came close to winning the CAF Confederation Cup after reaching the final in 2017.
Tembo says the club this time around have players to do better as they would want to feel that experience for their development.
"We reached the final. We had teams like TP Mazembe giving us respect because of the performances that we put in there. We want to go back there," he added.
"It will be very good. We’ve got players to do that. For young players, it will be part of their development as well to go and play in that stage.
"It will be a great experience for them to play different teams with different cultures and also travel. It is good for development."
SuperSport have two options to qualify for CAF football, which is winning the Nedbank Cup or cementing third position in the Absa Premiership.
