Shonga: Why I left TTM for Citizens

Premiership

Justin Shonga has offered an explanation as to why he left Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila for Cape Town City so quickly.

The 24-year-old, who arrived in South Africa in 2017 to play for Orlando Pirates, recently took everyone by surprise when he left TTM for City after having been in Limpopo for only three months.

"It's been okay so far but not that easy [my stay so far in SA] me being a foreigner, but South Africans are good people," Shonga tells KickOff.com.

"Life was okay at TTM. I left because as a footballer you can't be at the same stage or club when there's a move to make, then it's better you make it, and it's good for me because I'm learning a lot with the moves I have had so far."

Asked if he thought he should not have parted ways with Pirates and if there were any regrets, the Zambia star would not entertain it.

"On this one I have nothing to say, sorry."
