Shonga's TTM absence explained

Premiership

Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila have provided an explanation as to why their new signing Justin Shonga was not part of the team that played a 1-1 draw with TS Galaxy on Sunday.

There have been fears among the club's fans that the Zambian player may have made a U-turn and left the club like others have done.

The Limpopo side has already experienced a similar situation with two of their other stars in Oupa Manyisa and Augustine Mulenga.

After being announced by the Venda-based club, the following week Mulenga was unveiled by AmaZulu as their new signing, while Manyisa's story is still unclear.

But in this case Vhadau Vha Damani chief executive officer Sello Chokoe assures fans not to press the panic button as the former Orlando Pirates player is expected back at the club.

"He will be back, he had gone home for personal reasons," the former 'Gloved One' tells KickOff.com.

"On Wednesday he will be available. He was supposed to leave before our first game [in the MTN8 against SuperSport United], but we pleaded with him to leave after the game."

TTM's next game is against Mamelodi Sundowns on Wednesday, when they will need all their next firepower against the in-form reigning champions.
