KickOff.com has learnt that Orlando Pirates have lifted the suspension on striker Justin Shonga but his return this season is not guaranteed.
Shonga was withdrawn from the Pirates squad that reported to the biologically safe environment together with Thembinkosi Lorch after they were found guilty of breaching club protocol.
Lorch has since rejoined the team in camp after his case was heard before the club's disciplinary committee and has featured on the pitch once again.
"Shonga's suspension has also been lifted," a source close to the club tells KickOff.com. "His suspension has been lifted. The club is expected to make the announcement."
Efforts to get hold of Bucs administration official Floyd Mbele proved futile after he failed to return our calls.
Shonga and his countrymen Austin Muwowo and Augustine Mulenga face uncertain futures at Pirates after spending more time on the fringes than on the pitch.
