Orlando Pirates have reportedly received a mammoth R15 million offer for Zambia international striker Justin Shonga.
Shonga, 22, finished as the second highest scorer for the Buccaneers during the 2018/19 season and has subsequently attracted interest from across the continent.
Last month, Tanzanian Premier League champions Simba SC were said to be keen on the Zambian attacker but no official bid materialised for his services.
However, news filtering through Egyptian media claims Al Ahly are now in pole position to land Shonga as their second signing of the transfer window after the lucrative deal for Mali midfielder Aliou Dieng from MC Alger.
According to Egyptian publications SuperKora and Youm7, the Club of Century have agreed to meet the Soweto giants asking price of $1 million (R15m).
The report further adds that a three-year contract of $600 000 (R8.5m) per year has been offered to the former Nkawzi striker.
Shonga has scored 16 goals and registered as many assists in 66 games for The Sea Robbers since his arrival in 2017.
