Junior Khanye has revealed the Orlando Pirates player he believes has all the attributes to become the next PSL star from Daveyton.
eVutha as Daveyton is affectionately known has produced a number of great players in the PSL including Khanye, Jabu Mahlangu, Skapie Malatsi, Doctor Mampuru and Michael Nkambule.
Pirates attacking midfielder Kabelo Dlamini has also joined the ranks of players from Daveyton to play for one of the biggest clubs in South Africa and has impressed the former Kaizer Chiefs star.
The former Bloemfontein Celtic midfielder was the star of the show when he came off the bench and inspired Pirates to a 3-1 victory over Martirzburg United in the Nedbank Cup a few matches ago.
Khanye believes the 24-year-old is yet to show his true potential in the Buccaneers colours.
"He is from Brazil. Daveyton is Brazil of South African football. Numbers don't lie," Khanye tells KickOff.com.
"I know him [Dlamini] ekasi. The guy is immensely talented. He is very good at taking on players and has a good technique. He can score goals and it's surprising he hasn't scored so much in the PSL.
"There is so much potential in the boy and I believe he has not shown it enough. He is capable of doing more. I watched him against Jwaneng Galaxy and he impressed with his touches. He came on against Maritzburg United and showed the glimpses.
"I wish to see him carrying on doing like he did against Maritzburg United where he also scored. You can't doubt his talent and also remember he is coming from Farouk Khan Academy.
"I sent him a text for the first time before the game against Maritzburg United encouraging him and I was happy to see him doing well in that match."
