'Only 3 players should remain at Chiefs'

Junior Khanye goes in hard on Gavin Hunt and says only three current players should remain with Kaizer Chiefs next season, and the rest should be let go.

Chiefs head coach Gavin Hunt is expected to make big changes in the club's playing personnel at the end of the current season.

Hunt has found himself having to rely on the inexperienced youngsters like Nkosiphingile Ngcobo and Njabulo Blom, who sometimes struggle to handle the pressure as they continuously make poor decisions as was evident in their recent 1-1 draw with Supersport United.

The club's foreign players like Anthony Akumu continue to disappoint as well, with the Kenyan international leaving Amakhosi fans fuming when he gifted SuperSport an unnecessary penalty after pulling Thamsanqa Gabuza's shirt in that same game.

Khanye believes there are only three players that deserve to be kept by the club for next season.

"Ya as for me at Kaizer Chiefs I would get rid of everybody and leave only three players bro, and the rest must leave," Khanye tells KickOff.com.

"They were given enough time in the team, this team has been together for about six years now. Don't lie to yourselves baf'wethu, animeni kancani. Otherwise we killing the standard of football of South Africa. Those players are not good enough bro. I would also get rid of the coach and reshuffle the technical team as a whole.

"He is not a coach that is supposed to coach Kaizer Chiefs. Even if you say next season he must sign players...he's gonna sign players according to his style of play, and whoever is gonna take over there the foundation he's going to lay how long is it going to take for it to be fixed. I blame the likes of Stuart Baxter for all this, Imagine his team's top goalscorer was 'Masha' Mashamaite. Look at what he did to our team.

"So Gavin Hunt was not supposed to coach Kaizer Chiefs from the beginning please. He went to Bidvest Wits he brought in the likes of Benjani Mwaruwari, [James] Keane and what - what Nga [Bienvenu Eva Nga]! Ya he brought in those big giants and Kaizer Chiefs is not a team that plays with giants. Worst part he's a South African coach but he doesn't understand South African style of football.

"He doesn't love ball players, every time you must check his subs on the bench. So some of us are going to tell you the truth brothers. And you know this guy Junior Khanye is knowledgeable when it comes to football. I've learned a lot from the likes of Ted Dumitru and Farouk Khan my brother. Appoint very knowledgeable people in our development structures. I'd bring back Farouk Khan."
