Former Kaizer Chiefs star turned football analyst Junior Khanye believes the team's head coach Gavin Hunt is not a fan of ball-players.
The 35-year-old has questioned the top coach's decision to allow up-and-coming midfield sensation Given Thibedi to go back to Swallows FC on another loan deal knowing very well that Chiefs cannot sign any new players this season.
Yesterday the 23-year-old from Witbank in Mpumalanga was a nuisance against Amakhosi as the likes of Willard Katsande struggled to contain him.
Khanye believes the Glamour Boys should bring back the player as soon as possible.
"If you guys says Gavin Hunt is one of the best coaches in South African football, what are you talking about?" Khanye asks KickOff.com.
"Does he believe in skilful players? Players who are comfortable on the ball? That boy Thibedi, I'm not saying he is a star player... the coach knew from the first time he arrived that there won't be any new signings, he should have told Kaizer Chiefs to bring back all the on-loan players.
"That boy should have been retained from the beginning because he played a huge role for Swallows to get promoted. It goes to show you that the coach doesn't believe in skilful players, people who are comfortable on the ball.
"Tell Kaizer Chiefs to talk to Swallows so that the boy comes back. Even yesterday did you see it was him who was causing damage? You can't have a player that can't trap at Chiefs. I'm talking about Katsande and Agay.
"I'm very disappointed. Why wait for end of the season? They must write a letter now telling them that, 'We confirm we want him back.' January we want him back."
Khanye has already said Chiefs should release a few of the older players, now have you seen his preferred Bafana Bafana starting XI?
