Seema's first Chippa signing identified?

Newly appointed Chippa United coach Lehlohonolo Seema has reportedly already identified his first transfer target for next season.

Seema joined The Chilli Boys on Monday after resigning at Bloemfontein Celtic and has wasted no time in getting going in his new job.

Former Black Leopards midfielder Joseph Mhlongo has already been identified as one of the first signings Seema could make at Chippa at the end of the season.

"Joseph Mhlongo has been in talks with different clubs and before lockdown he was talking with Highlands Park and Bloemfontein Celtic," a source tells

"Seema has been a fan of the player and it seems like he may make him his first signing at Chippa United."

Mhlongo's representative Mulovhedzi Ratshibvumo confirms 'Black Jesus' is a free agent but denies having any agreement with Seema.

"Leopards gave Mhlongo an offer but we had to look at his age and future so decided to part ways," Ratshibvumo says.

"Then they decided to not give him two months' extension. We respect that and everything they've done for him as a player, it was a good experience for him.

"I can tell you that Mhlongo will sign a contract with a new club before the beginning of the season, even though we haven't had any agreement with any club."
