Cape Town City FC chairman John Comitis has responded to rumours linking Zambian striker Justin Shonga with a move to the Citizens.
Shonga joined Tshakuma Tsha Madzhivhandila from Orlando Pirates before the start of the season, but has netted only once in the three league matches he has played so far.
Rumours surfaced that the 24- year-old has already signed for the Citizens ahead of the January transfer, but Comitis has revealed there is no truth in the reports.
"I'm also hearing that hey," Comitis tells KickOff.com.
"Amen. Is he not going to Zamalek? Isn't that what they reported 10 days ago? Ja, it's a lot of nonsense. No man, we can't even talk to the guy, I think he's still linked with Pirates. I don't know, I don't know. People come with stories and then I read them for the first time myself.
"At the moment there's no truth in the story and we are waiting for the next few games before the transfer window opens, and then we'll start looking and see what we can do."
