The New Zealander has been heavily linked with a move to Chloorkop, and admits that a few months ago – under Gordon Igesund – his head may have been turned.
However, the arrival of Baxter has rejuvenated Matsatsantsa, and Brockie admits it is now a much happier place.
“It’s obviously flattering to be linked with one of the big clubs. They have a good team,” he is quoted by TimesLive.
“If you asked me this question a few months ago, then maybe it would have been a different answer. But since Baxter has taken over, he has brought new life to the squad and it's a much happier change-room.”
Brockie adds: “Baxter would be the main reason for me to stay at the club because he is a winner. He has revived things. We are having a much more enjoyable season than we were a couple of months ago. We have the top eight to fight for and we have silverware [Nedbank Cup] to play for.”
