The Glamour Boys will host the third and final of their three ‘home’ fixtures at their alternate venue, Cape Town Stadium, when they take on Matsatsantsa on Saturday evening, having beaten Bidvest Wits and losing to Platinum Stars in their two previous fixtures in the Mother City.
Instead of making the short trip from Pretoria to Johannesburg for the fixture, SuperSport will now trek down to the Cape, yet Brockie, who scored against Chiefs in his second month as a SuperSport player in February last year, is unconcerned, yet is still awaiting his first game against the Glamour Boys in their back yard.
“We’re used to travelling a bit anyway, as the majority of our home games get moved to Polokwane, so we’re used to the travelling side of things,” the New Zealander tells KickOff.com. “Cape Town is obviously a lovely city, so I’m looking forward to playing Kaizer Chiefs there, although I am disappointed that I haven’t played Chiefs at their stadium yet!
“It’s a catch 22, but it’ll be nice to play them in Cape Town, where I’m sure they’ll get a massive crowd in.”
Brockie, who was suspended for last week’s 2-0 League win over AmaTuks, will be looking to add to his eight goals for the season thus far, with SuperSport desperate to avenge September’s 4-1 defeat to Amakhosi in the reverse fixture.
