JDR Stars goalkeeper Badra Ali Sangare insists he is fully focused on representing the Ivory Coast at the 2021 Afcon over his immediate club future.

Sangare revealed he will decide his club future after the conclusion of the tournament.

The Ivorian's contract with JDR Stars is set to expire at the end of the current season in June this year and is yet to enter into talks over an extension with the club hierarchy.

The former Free State Stars goalkeeper produced one of his best performances in an Ivorian national team jersey when helping his country beat Equatorial Guinea by 1-0 in a Group E clash.

"My focus at the moment is with the Ivorian national team," Sangare tells KickOff.

"My agent is probably the best person to talk to about my future in football.

"I will hear from him when I come back to South Africa after the Afcon tournament.

"I have always enjoyed my stay at JDR. The chairman, coaches and my teammates have been great to me.

"We've had a wonderful season so far, and the team is doing well.

"I always believe in God. He will help to decide where I will be playing next season.

"Who knows, maybe I can continue playing for JDR next season in the DStv Premiership or for another team in the top-flight.
