'It's not an easy decision for Khoza'

South African football Great Mlungisi "Professor" Ngubane has reacted to Premier Soccer League chairman Irvin Khoza's recent statement regarding the Kaizer Chiefs saga.

Amakhosi's request to have their league matches against Cape Town City and Golden Arrows postponed due to a Covid-19 outbreak was rejected by the PSL.

Khoza revealed the matter took so long to resolve because of its complexity.

"It's not an easy decision for Khoza, although people are expecting him to be fair," Ngubane tells Kickoff.com.

"But now how do you fight against Covid knowing very well it's there?

"If they are saying their whole staff had Covid then how do you expect them to play knowing they are infected? Even the people you are playing against won't be safe.

"Whether it was true or not that's another thing, but to go and play Cape Town City while 30 of your people have Covid, obviously even Cape Town City was not safe.

"Maybe Bra K [Kaizer Motaung] thought he was taking a responsible decision not knowing he was committing a sin.

"It's a difficult one for Khoza because he might think he is doing the right thing for others only to find to others it's wrong.

"The matches should be replayed because it was Covid, and Chiefs were respecting the rules of Covid.

"This thing is deadly, so we have to respect it."
