SuperSport United head coach Kaitano Tembo has issued the latest injury update on injured striker Iqraam Rayners.

When he picked up the injury, Rayners had already made four appearances for Matsatsantsa this season.

The 25-year-old signed a pre-contract with SuperSport in January 2020 but only joined at a later stage.

"Iqraam is [still] injured," Tembo tells KickOff.com.

"He's just started rehab now cause he was in a moon boot. He had a sprain on his ankle. An ankle sprain. So it needed him to be in a moon boot.

"So he's been out for two months now. He hasn't started training, he's doing rehab, he's doing light training."

In the 2018/19 season Rayners was crowned the National First Division golden boot winner as it was his 19 goals that helped former team Stellenbosch FC gain straight promotion.
