Chiefs are preparing for a new dawn under the tutelage of the four-time league winner, who succeeded Ernst Middendop after their heartbreak in the Absa Premiership finale.

With the DStv Premiership era nearing after the MTN8 kicks off the new season this weekend, the Chiefs squad were taken through their paces ahead of their clash against Maritzburg United on Sunday.
In the build-up to their season opener, veteran defender Ramahlwe Mphahlele spoke of Hunt's immediate influence on the team as he now enters his third week of pre-season.
"Gavin Hunt has been in the game for long. He knows what South African soccer is all about. He’s a proven winner," the South Africa international told the club's website.
"He is very precise in what he wants. We concentrate on what to do when we have the ball, what to do when we don’t have the ball and how to break down opponents."
While Chiefs are unable to register new players with the FIFA transfer been still active, Hlanti, who joined the club for pre-season two weeks ago, was pictured keeping fit with his former Bidvest Wits coach.
The 30-year-old left-back is currently a free agent after being released by Tshakhuma FC following their takeover of the Students. He can sign still sign for Chiefs but will be unable to represent the club until the end of the ban.
However, the Soweto giants are still awaiting the outcome of their appeal to the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) as they hope to overturn the ruling that prevents them from acquiring players for the next two transfer windows.
