How Lushozi's been managing blind

Orlando Pirates and Moroka Swallows legend Bernard Lushozi has explained how he was able to continue doing what he loved despite still being partially blind.

Despite having lost his eyesight, 'Shoes' has been seen taking part on SuperSport TV football show 'Sitting With Stan' hosted by Stanley 'Screamer' Tshabalala.

Lushozi is currently undergoing treatment to regain his eyesight and had to stop his teaching career in June 2020.

"No Outhy yami [my guy], I was still struggling with my vision," he tells KickOff.com.

"My vision was still very poor. We did that show in November and in it I might look like I can see whereas I'm not seeing anything. Remember I did the operation in May [last er] so I was still unable to see. They had to hold my hand and guide me to enter the studio.

"It's through God's mercy because my eyes don't see anything. Body-wise I'm healthy, and it's not that the eyes have been hurt or showing any signs you see. My body, everything I just look fine. It's just the vision that is blurred.

"And it is still today until maybe... they told me they will be removing some of the things that are the reason for it to be blurred you see."

Lushozi recently underwent the final part of his treatment and is expected to regain more of his eyesight in time.
