Highlands Park are believed to have won the race to sign Free State Stars midfielder Makhehleni Makhaula.
According to a few sources, Makhaula has already agreed to a three-year deal with Owen Da Gama's side.
The 29-year-old played a total of 29 games for Ea Lla Koto last season, providing two assists.
"I think the right people to talk to about this is Free State Stars and Highlands Park," the player's agent Sizwe Ntshangase tells KickOff.com. "At this stage I can't say much about this."
Asked for a comment, Stars general manager Rantsi Mokoena referred all questions to the Lions of the North.
"Ja Makhaula is moving but I can't say when, I think phone Highlands Park and ask them," he adds.
Meanwhile Highlands co-director Larry Brookstone said the club will make an announcement on all the players that will be joining the club.
"We are going to announce all our signings in one go at a proper press conference."
At one stage Makhaula looked set to join Chippa United, but club coach Clinton Larsen says the negotiations between the two clubs collapsed.
"We were talking to him but we have not signed him," Larsen said. "My chairman and Rantsi [Mokoena] were in talks as he was still contracted to Free State Stars... I think negotiations broke down."
