According to a source close to Highlands, Peterson has already started to train with the club with the view to signing.

"The boy is here and doing well at training," the source revels to KickOff.com.

"The club is not yet ready to issue a statement on whether he has signed already or still just training."

The Lions of the North are no strangers to signing students.

Last year they snapped up speedy midfielder Mokete Mogalia from University of Johannesburg as well as Tshwane University of Technology captain Elliot Seema after scouting them at the same tournament.

Seema has since joined GladAfrica Championship side Swallows FC.
