Mamelodi Sundowns appear to have landed the services of Highlands Park duo Peter Shalulile and Mothobi Mvala for next season.
As earlier reported by KickOff.com, Sundowns have been leading the race to snap up Shalulile and Mvala, who have been instrumental for Highlands this season.
It has now been confirmed that talks are all but complete and the pair will be turning out for the newly crowned Absa Premiership champions in the 2020/21 season.
The Brazilians landed a record 10th championship, while bagging a generous R15-million on Saturday, and have moved quickly in their efforts to lure their two targets to Chloorkop.
The Namibian international was on Saturday confirmed as the joint-top goal scorer for the 2019/20 campaign, alongside Orlando Pitrates star Gabadinho Mhango, while Mvala is set to join a star-studded midfield consisting several other Bafana Bafana internationals.
"Looks like we've sold Mvala and Shalulile to Sundowns hey," Highlands co-director Kaftel reveals to KickOff.com.
"There's a bit of talk [over] Mvala and Shalulile it looks like. I mean it's not finalised, I haven't got a signed contract so I can't show it to you, but I have signed the contract.
"I'm waiting for them, but ja, it looks like they are signing them. Peter Shalulile is a Golden Boot winner and they are signing Mothobi Mvala."
There have also recently been reports linking Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates with the duo, but Kaftel has since confirmed otherwise.
"Chiefs, I believe they have that FIFA ban, so I don't think they are allowed to sign any players or something. So, they are not in the equation," he says.
"Pirates, I think they would be interested but they knew we were dealing with Sundowns."
