Jele leading Zinnbauer's Bucs resurgence

Orlando Pirates captain Happy Jele says his teammates are working very hard to understand the new system coach Josef Zinnbauer is trying to implement.

Pirates are yet to lose a game since Zinnbauer took over coaching reins from Rhulani Mokwena, winning two games and drawing one under the German's instructions.

"We didn't play well in our previous game and as players we told ourselves that we need to improve and put in a lot of effort," Jele said.

"So far the previous four games we have been doing well. The new coach came and we are trying to implement the style that he wants us to play," said Jele.

"My role as captain is important in the team. It has been difficult. We lost a coach, the new coach came and obviously we have to support the new coach.

"So far so good. I am trying by all means that everyone in the team understands the new coach."

Bucs, who have scored eight goals and conceded three since Zinnbauer arrived, are set to host Mamelodi Sundowns in their next league match at Orlando Stadium on Wednesday (19h30).
