Golden Arrows have been confirmed as the DStv Premiership Q-Innovation Quarter Two Winners which sees them bag R1.5-million.
Abafana Bes’thende won the seven-match Quarter two (Q2) block after amassing 16 points with five victories, one draw and only one loss.
Current DStv Premiership log leaders, Mamelodi Sundowns finished Q2 in second position just one point behind Mandla Ncikazi’s side.
SuperSport United, AmaZulu FC and Orlando Pirates (all on 12 points) finished third, fourth and fifth respectively.
"I want to thank the players and the technical team for the great effort in collecting the most points in seven games and winning the second Q-Innovation and becoming the first KZN team to win it," head coach Mandla Ncikazi said.
"It's the first time in the history of the PSL to have the joint best 16 points in seven games, I'm really proud to be a part of this group. It's motivation to try and win the next by collecting 12 points from the Limpopo teams in the next four games.
"Anything is possible when Arrows are pointing in the same direction but the most challenging part of the next matches when we're now favourites and not underdogs, the team must maintain consistency. The Sky is the limit."
