KickOff.com has learnt that former Kaizer Chiefs midfielder George Lebese could make a return to Soweto next season.
Lebese has been without a club since parting ways with Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila – now Marumo Gallants – a few months ago.
The Mamelodi-born midfielder has not kicked a ball since January, after he struggled to get his clearance from his former club Colorado Springs Switchbacks in the United States.
Though the 32-year-old has also been linked with Gallants and Sekhukhune United, it is now understood, Lebese could find new home at Swallows FC and is expected to join their pre-season training on Thursday.
"There has been contact between George Lebese's representatives and Swallows. It looks like he might find a home with the Dube Birds next season," says a source.
"He is expected to join the club for pre-season training tomorrow."
Swallows have already parted ways with a number of players, including defender Njabulo Ngcobo, who is joining Chiefs, whilst midfielder Bantu Mzwakali has been handed his clearance.
