Chippa United coach Gavin Hunt said his side had 'more than enough chances to win the game' after the 3-1 defeat to Orlando Pirates.
The Chilli Boys opened the scoring through Phakamani Mahlambi and had plenty of other opportunities, which they failed to take as Pirates prevailed mainly due to their superior finishing.
Chippa have now fallen to back-to-back losses in the DStv Premiership, but Hunt insist the scoreline was not a fair reflection of the game.
"Scoreline reads 3-1, but I mean bit unfair. I think we had the best chances," Hunt told SuperSport TV.
"We could have been 3-1 up ourselves. So disappointing but obviously once we had to chase it we were going to have a few problems but all in all I thought we had the best chances. We had more than enough chances to win the game."
The former SuperSport United and Bidvest Wits coach says it's the second game this season his side should 'never have lost'.
"We've got to defend better," he said.
"It's the old adage of football. You've got to defend first. I think it's two games now we lost when we should never have lost.
"It's football. No one cares. We got to try and pick ourselves up. We had more than enough chances to win the game today.
