Hunt denies Mosimane's request

Bidvest Wits coach Gavin Hunt has responded to Pitso Mosimane's request to help Mamelodi Sundowns catch Kaizer Chiefs in the title race.

'Jingles' recently asked Hunt to ensure his side beats Amakhosi to help Sundowns catch up to the Absa Premiership leaders.

The Clever Boys still have to play Amakhosi twice but four-time league champion Hunt says Mosimane can't rely on him because he knows how to win the championship.

"He doesn't have to rely on me, he knows he can do that for himself [laughs]," Hunt said.

"He knows, they are still going to play Pirates. He can beat them or they can beat him. I think they will play Chiefs too. We play Chiefs. It's crazy, it's going to be real tight."

Hunt believes with everyone in the title race still to play each other, more pressure will be on the final decision-makers on the field.

"I think the biggest pressure is going to come with officiating," he added. "Maybe get VAR for the last month [laughs]."

The PSL Board of Governors will decide at an extraordinary meeting on Thursday whether or not to continue the season behind closed doors.
