Bidvest Wits head coach Gavin Hunt insists the four games in hand his team have might do them more damage than good.
Due to their CAF Confederation Cup commitment, the third-placed Clever Boys are only playing their seventh league game of the season tonight against SuperSport United.
While most teams may view being behind with games as some sort of an advantage, Hunt says playing catch-up brings more pressure.
"Ja it's a problem," Hunt tells KickOff.com.
"But anyway we are just taking one game at a time you know. Disadvantage, it gives you a disadvantage, that's for sure. To say it gives you a chance to study the other teams, that's nonsense. It's nonsense.
"We are at a big disadvantage. We've got to catch the games up."
Asked how he rates Wits' chances of winning the league this season, Hunt's mind was more focused.
"No I'm just trying to win the game tonight. We don't worry about the league. We are just trying to win tonight, that's all. I've got a more important game today.
"Every year it's tight my friend. Anybody can win the league. It's so tight anybody can win the league."
A win for Wits at Bidvest Stadium tonight (20h00) would move them above Mamelodi Sundowns into second position.
