Hunt earmarked for two PSL jobs

Former Kaizer Chiefs head coach Gavin Hunt will not be without a job for very long with two DStv Premiership clubs already said to be interested in his services.

It is thought that the arrival of Molefi Ntsekie as Chiefs’ head of technical could be one of the reasons behind coach Gavin Hunt’s abrupt departure from Naturena.

The next head coach and the rest of the senior and junior technical teams are set to report to Ntseki as part of a new arrangement, which may have upset Hunt and led to his contract being terminated. has since established that the 56-year-old is not short of suitors and could be back in PSL sooner than expected.

This publication has learned that the former Bidvest Wits mentor could join either SuperSport United or Stellenbosch ahead of the 2021/22 season.

“There could be a major development at SuperSport at the end of the season, with new owners set to take over. Whether the club is being sold or not, Hunt could be their new coach next season,” reveals a source.

“There was also interest from Stellenbosch before and they could revive that at the end of the season.”

Hunt was also linked to Orlando Pirates before taking over coaching reigns at Amakhosi and is sure to be back on the touchline to build on his 27-year career soon.
