Hunt expecting Pelembe return

Bidvest Wits head coach Gavin Hunt insists experienced winger Elias Pelembe will return to the club to complete the remaining games.

Pelembe's contract with The Clever Boys is believed to have expired on June 30 and he has not yet reported for training with the rest of the squad ahead of the PSL's restart.

Domingues, 36, left the country for Mozambique before the national lockdown and has not yet returned.

"Not that I know of, no," Wits coach Gavin Hunt replies to KickOff.com when asked if the winger is back in the country.

"He'll come back, he is coming back. He's finishing the season. And yes, we started [training] last week."

With the Braamfontein-based side having been sold to Tshakhuma Tsha Madzhivhandila, the chances of the ex-Mamelodi Sundowns and SuperSport United star returning to Mzansi are getting slimmer.
